Letter to the Minister of Immigration

I wrote to the Minister of Immigration to raise ongoing concerns about the workforce impacts of the Liberal government’s decision to close the Vegreville Case Processing Centre, and to put forward a practical proposal to support affected employees.

The Vegreville office was one of the highest-performing processing centres in the country, and its closure displaced hundreds of workers and families in a rural community. Years later, many of those employees continue to face uncertainty.

While I have not yet received a response, my Conservative colleagues and I will always support hardworking families and will continue to advocate for workers and for common sense community supports.
