Instead of standing up for workers, the Liberals spent the week recycling their same tired, fake Liberal talking points that don't reflect reality.
The Liberals love to brag about the Trans Mountain Pipeline. But here’s the truth: it was the former Conservative government that approved Trans Mountain, and enabled four real pipelines to be built that taxpayers didn’t have to bail out: Keystone Phase 1, which ships 590,000 Barrels per day to the US helping relations with our biggest ally and customer, the Alberta Clipper, the Anchor Loop, built next to Trans Mountain One, which increased the capacity of the pipeline system by 40,000 barrels per day and the Line 9B reversal, which brings Western products and resources to Eastern refiners to power Ontario and Quebec, literally fueling Pearson airport keeping planes in the sky.
The Trans Mountain Expansion was delayed by the Liberal’s broken system and even after they re-did Indigenous consultations when courts said they failed, and approved it a second time, they stood by while other levels of government and activists obstructed construction and even defied court injunctions to block it, which delayed the project by 4 years and added $27 billion to the cost. And after all that mess, the private sector proponent was forced to bail out, so the Liberals bought it with your tax dollars.
