Pierre Poilievre Elected Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada!

MP Shannon Stubbs released the following statement on the victory of Pierre Poilievre:

Congratulations to the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Pierre Poilievre!

Pierre and I have known each other for many years, and I am excited that Conservative members from every part of the country gave him such an overwhelming endorsement as leader. Pierre is principled, consistent, articulate and steadfast in his commitment to conservative values and principles. He has a long track record of fighting for every day working Canadians, and not being bothered by attacks and criticisms from the establishment elites. He is laser focussed on struggling Canadians, their families, and their futures, and wants to put every day people back in control of their lives. He advocates for the priorities I hear most frequently about from the people of Lakeland.

Pierre values and respects our members and our party, which has now grown to the largest in Canadian history, in no small part because of his vision and his efforts. Our movement and our country will be well served by Pierre as Conservative leader, and I really look forward to working with him!
