Repeal C-59
Last year, the Liberals passed Bill C-59 that rewrote the Competition Act to make it nearly impossible for businesses to speak about the environment unless they echo Liberal standards. The law gives the Liberals the power to slap fines on Canadian companies of up to $15 million or even 3% of their total revenue if they go against Liberal anti-energy talking points. They could even face criminal charges.
These provisions censor industries across Canada from oil and gas, forestry, mining, auto, and public utilities, and keep them in fear that they’ll be targeted next. If the Liberals are serious about making Canada an energy superpower, they must repeal these provisions for business and all Canadians.
