Ukrainian Independence Day
Today is Ukrainian Independence Day, a day to remember the freedom, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people.
Lakeland is home to the highest percentage of Ukrainian Canadians and their symbols of food, faith, family, language and culture shine throughout. As MP, I’ve been privileged to connect with our vibrant Ukrainian-Canadian community at celebrations, events and at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village in Lamont County which I have visited a number of times.
Today, let’s reflect on the courage and determination of Ukrainians as they defend their sovereignty and build their own future from Putin’s illegal invasion. Today and every day, Conservatives stand with Ukraine as it defends its freedom, democracy, and way of life.
