Proud to be Albertan

Proud to be Albertan and always inspired by Calgary Stampede’s celebration of our powerful western heritage and way of life.

Alberta attracts people from all over the country and world with entrepreneurial spirits, can-do optimism, risk taking, imagination, and grit. Alberta leads Canada in energy innovation and technology - home to the biggest investments in alternative and renewable development, more than all other provinces combined. Oil and gas is essential for human life, here and around the world - and nobody does it better than Albertans. It’s not a sunset industry and young Canadians should consider bright futures in energy and AI in Alberta, leading the way on all kinds of energy, hydrogen, SMR deployment in traditional development, and data centres.

You should check out the Museum of Making in the spectacular scenery near Cochrane and Ghost Lake.

It’s not reconciliation when Ottawa always say no

The Liberals talk about reconciliation, but delay or kill pipelines, roads, mining, and LNG projects that Indigenous leaders, elders, youth, entrepreneurs and workers worked hard to secure. It's not partnership when one side always says no. It’s not reconciliation when Ottawa decides who can build and who must wait.

Happy Canada Day!

Today marks 158 years of grit, courage, and ambition that built Canada. Let's honour our heroes in uniform and thank the farmers and workers who feed, fuel and power this country.

And it’s still true – frankly, more than ever before - that a strong, united, secure and self reliant Canada depends on exactly what our provincial motto says we are: a strong and free Alberta. Alberta’s boundless opportunities, ambitions, and innovation lift and benefit every single Canadian every day.

Today, let’s ALL be proud of who we are and where we come from.

Carney says “elbows up”, but it’s Canadians who get hit.

While the U.S. has surged ahead as the top LNG exporter, Canada falls further behind. Year after year the Liberals have handed trillions of investment away from Canada into the U.S., leaving Canadians behind.

Canada's “Orwellian” regulatory system

Canada's “Orwellian” regulatory system hurts real proponents who want to build real projects in Canada like nuclear, oil and gas, mining and LNG.

Dr. Exner-Pirot said it best: Liberal anti-development laws just add more time, money, pain and frustration. Only Conservatives will repeal the Liberal anti-development laws that hold back Canadian investment to get real projects built to make Canada safe, secure, and self-reliant.

Annual Canada Day poster contest

As Canada Day approaches, I want to highlight the wonderful entries we have received in our office's Annual Canada Day poster contest and show off some beautiful artwork our constituency office has of Lakeland.

Thank you to all of the young artists who participate each year with their excitement and talent!

The Liberals Block Projects

The Liberals push EV mandates and talk about green growth, but block the very projects needed to make it happen.

You can’t build EVs without lithium, nickel, and cobalt, resources Canada has, but China controls, and you can’t power a reliable grid without uranium and natural gas. Liberals have blocked or delayed dozens of Canadian resource projects. Only Conservatives will stand with the workers, families, and businesses who power Canada to make us a safe, secure, and self-reliant nation.

Prime Minister Carney just sent $1 billion of your money straight to Beijing.

Carney himself said China’s Communist Regime is Canada's biggest security threat, but just gave them a billion dollar deal. Don't forget, Brookfield, the company Carney ran, holds billions of dollars of risky, politically sensitive deals tied to the Chinese communist regime. While Canadian workers struggle here at home, Carney helps Beijing burn more coal, buy up critical resources and tighten its grip on Canada's supply chains. That doesn't sound like a Prime Minister who works for you.

Even Freeland admits Canada’s rules stop projects from getting built

Even Carney's own Transport Minister admits Canada’s rules stop projects from getting built, but it’s their own Liberal laws that created the problem in the first place. Conservatives will fix it and cut red tape & taxes, clear the way, and get projects built.

Conservatives helped fix Bill C-5

Bill C-5 included abilities for the PM to ignore conflict of interest laws -- Conservatives stopped that.

When I tried to put safeguards in C-5 to keep the Liberals from stacking the deck in favour of their friends, they tried to block it and voted against it. Thankfully, our Conservative motion passed. We also won limits on the cabinet's power so no government can sidestep foundational laws like the Lobbying Act, Criminal Code, and Auditor General Act. Only Conservatives will stand up for transparency, integrity, and the public interest.
