Conservatives bring forward the first Opposition Day motion

BREAKING: Today the Conservatives brought forward the first Opposition Day motion that calls on the PM to give Canada a fiscally responsible budget this spring because of out-of-control grocery prices.
Beef is up 34%. Oranges are up 26%. Apples cost 18% more. Even baby formula has jumped 9%. Families now pay almost $17,000 a year for food. Canadians deserve a real budget and a real plan.

Watch this Liberal Gatineau MP try and tell me what to do

Watch this Liberal Gatineau MP try and tell me what to do when I tell him that companies won't invest in Canada with anti-development Liberal laws like the industrial carbon tax, the No New Pipelines Bill C-69, the West Coast Shipping Ban C-48, and the oil and gas cap.
Photo-ops don’t build pipelines. Actions do.

Even Carney admits it now—Liberal laws strangle Canadian energy development.

From Bill C-69, the No New Pipelines law, to Bill C-48, the West Coast shipping ban, to the oil and gas emissions cap and the punitive industrial carbon tax—these Liberal policies have sent thousands of Canadian jobs straight to the U.S.
So if Carney knows these laws are kill Canada's ability to build energy, why won't he repeal them?

Liberals Admit Their Own Laws Block Development

Read what I had to say on the Minister Hodgson's claims on CBC:

Does Carney know that interprovincial pipelines are federal jurisdiction?

Canada needs a federal government that understands jurisdictional authority and the rule of law to ensure the private sector has the conditions to build pipelines, for Canadian self-reliance, security, and unity. While the BC Premier says he won't support a new pipeline, Carney says one won't be built without "consensus." Does this sound like "elbows up" to you?

Canada must be self reliant, united, and secure, now more than ever.

As long as the Liberals keep their unconstitutional No New Pipelines Never Build Anything Anywhere Bill C-69, the Shipping Ban C-48, the industrial carbon tax which the US doesn’t impose on itself federally, the Canadian oil and gas cap that no other country in the world self-inflicts, and other anti-development laws and policies that kill Canadian jobs and projects and drive money and business into the US and other countries.
Watch what I had to say on Canadian sovereignty and energy independence on Monday:

Did you see what happened in Parliament last night?

Did you see what happened in Parliament last night?

Our Conservative amendment on the Speech from the Throne passed, with the support of the majority of MPs. It demands a spring budget for all Canadians. Canadians deserve the truth about how much Prime Minister Mark Carney will spend and how much deeper he will push Canadians into debt. Canadians deserve an answer.

Always a treat to meet Lloydminster Mayor Gerald Aalbers and his wife Christine.

Today, PM Mark Carney will talk about "nation building" projects, but don't be fooled.

Today, PM Mark Carney will talk about "nation building" projects, but don't be fooled. His Liberals blocked, delayed, or killed $176 billion in at least 16 major resource projects.
If PM Carney really wants to make Canada an energy superpower, he must repeal the anti-development Liberal laws that have strangled Canadian growth and kept resources in the ground.

Honoured to be sworn in
