Lakeland Remembrance Day Poster Contest

Every year, I’m inspired by the beautiful artworks that students across Lakeland create for the annual Lakeland Remembrance Day poster contest. For the past year, I’ve proudly displayed last year’s winning piece by Gurman Dhir in my Ottawa office.

I can’t wait to see what students have created this year. It’s always a challenge to choose a winner, but I’m looking forward to reviewing all the submissions at the end of the month.

It truly warms my heart to see so many children in Lakeland honour Canada’s soldiers and veterans through their creativity and respect. Lest we forget.

Lest We Forget

Today is Remembrance Day.

Across the country, Canadians will pause to remember the courage and sacrifice of those who served Canada, and who fought for the freedoms, rights, and way of life that Canadians enjoy today. It’s also a day to reflect on those who never came home, and those who came home carrying visible and invisible wounds. To all veterans, all who have served, and all who have supported them, thank you. Lest we forget.

Carney Wants You to Sacrifice

After a decade of Liberal failures, Canadians head to food banks after work, not grocery stores.

And what’s Mark Carney’s solution? He says you need to make more sacrifices, as if Canadians haven’t sacrificed enough already.

While Canadian families struggle to afford food and housing, Carney’s insider executives-turned-bureaucrats cash in millions of your taxpayer dollars.

Only Conservatives will bring jobs, growth, hope, and homes to Canada, to put Canadians first for a change and for an affordable life for everyone.

Canada's Crucial Forestry Sector

Canada’s forestry sector is crucial to Canada’s economy, but under Mark Carney, lumber towns across Canada face devastating tariffs because of his failure to get Canada a deal.

The reality is, tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber are TRIPLE what they were when Mark Carney took office. The opposite of “elbows-up”.

Only Conservatives will reverse Carney’s anti-development agenda and unleash Canada’s own resource-based economic potential to make Canada affordable, self-sufficient, and secure.

Remembrance Day Colouring Project

Each year, one of my favourite traditions is our Remembrance Day Colouring Project with local students.

Dozens of thoughtful, creative pieces arrive from classrooms across the constituency — and every single one is a reminder that remembrance lives on through our youth.

We proudly display one selected artwork here in the constituency office and one in my Hill office in Ottawa for the entire year. It’s always a meaningful splash of colour, honour, and gratitude in the places where important work happens.

Carney's Conflicts of Interest

While Canadians go hungry and can’t find work, Carney looks out for his insider buddies and old companies.

Remember, Carney told Canadians, “I own nothing but cash and personal real estate.” That was false. He holds shares in 574 companies.

He claimed, “I do not have a connection with Brookfield Asset Management.” Also false. He holds stock options, deferred shares, and corporate investments tied directly to Brookfield.

Only Conservatives will clean up Ottawa, stop insider corruption, kick out the cronies, and restore ethics in government. Because Canadians deserve nothing less.

Indigenous Veterans Day

Canadians everywhere owe a sacred debt of gratitude to all who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces, past and present, for their courage, selfless sacrifice, and patriotic devotion to Canada.

Today, on Indigenous Veterans Day, Canadians pause to honor the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit soldiers who fought and served for Canada, often without recognition and without basic civil and legal rights. Today and every day Canada honours their memory.

Carney Doubles Trudeau's Spending

Mark Carney is adding over $321 BILLION to Canada’s federal debt over the next 5 years. DOUBLE than what Trudeau was going to spend!

That works out to $10 million every HOUR, paid for by already struggling Canadians. Carney’s inflationary spending and skyrocketing debt will raise the price of everything you buy.

Conservatives want an affordable budget that ends hidden grocery taxes, cuts wasteful spending, and gets rid of bureaucracy to lower grocery prices, build affordable homes, and restore the promise of Canada for an affordable life.

Food Bank Visits Hit New Records

Under the Carney Liberals, monthly food bank visits in Canada have smashed records to over 2.1 million visits, including 700,000 children. Double what it was in 2019.

And now, while Carney racks up a $78 BILLION dollar deficit, he’s told you, that you need to make more sacrifices?

Only Conservatives will bring home jobs, growth, and hope for Canada so all Canadians can afford to eat healthy and nutritious meals for a change.

Carney’s $78 BILLION Dollar Deficit

Carney’s $78 BILLION dollar deficit will drive up the cost of everything you buy.

Because of Mark Carney’s reckless spending, the government will have to spend more on debt interest than on HEALTHCARE. Instead of paying doctors and nurses, Carney’s sending your tax dollars to bankers and bureaucrats.

Conservatives want an affordable budget for an affordable life and call on the PM to work with Conservatives to support a positive, hopeful, and affordable future for all Canadians.
