Conservative Wrap-Up

Last week I told you Conservatives were ready to work this fall session, and that's exactly what our Conservative team has been doing.
In just over a week Conservatives have:
* Called out the PM's broken promises on responsible resource projects in Canada
* Exposed how bad the Liberal cost of living crisis has gotten
* Forced debate and a vote on the only one of its kind in the world Canadian oil and gas cap
* Called on the Liberals to adopt a Three-Strikes-And-You're-Out law to keep repeat violent offenders behind bars
* Introduced the Jail Not Bail Act to restore safe streets and protect Canadians' public safety
* Introduced legislation to strengthen the legal response to intimate partner violence to protect victims
* and much more
Stay tuned, and count on Conservatives, as always, to fight for you.

Interview with Rob Snow

Thank you Rob Snow for the chat on how Liberal anti-development policies drive away investment, block pipelines, and make life more expensive for Canadians.

Only Conservatives will continue to fight to repeal the No New Pipelines Never Build Anything Anywhere Bill C-69, the Shipping Ban C-48, the federal industrial carbon tax, the only one of its kind in the entire world oil and gas cap, and the energy censorship law, to make Canada the fastest place in the world to get a permit for the benefit of all Canadians.

How can Canada lead, when the Liberals block it every step of the way?

How can Canada lead, when the Liberals block it every step of the way?

The Liberal oil and gas cap kills jobs

The Liberal oil and gas cap will kill 54,000 Canadian jobs and cap Canadian success. In just 30 seconds, I'll tell you what you need to know about it:

Conservative legislation to end intimate partner violence

I was grateful to join MP Frank Caputo as he announced new Conservative legislation to end intimate partner violence.
Intimate partner violence is a scourge that affects Canadians in every community. This bill introduces urgently needed measures to protect victims and hold abusers accountable.
This bill will:
1. Create a new offence of assault on an intimate partner.
2. Make the murder of an intimate partner a first-degree murder charge.
3. Establish a mechanism for judges to conduct risk assessments to identify red flags before violence occurs.
4. Streamline and modernize the detention of seized goods.
Now more than ever, it is important to stand with survivors, protect victims, and build a Canada where every person feels safe.

National Hunting, Trapping, and Fishing Heritage Day

Today is National Hunting, Trapping, and Fishing Heritage Day.

Here in Lakeland, people continue to rely on and enjoy hunting, trapping, and fishing as a way of life, as a connection to Canada’s history, and as a way to develop skills that build strong, self-reliant communities. Today we celebrate this proud heritage that has shaped Canada for centuries.

Conservatives will always stand on guard for Canadians to hunt, trap, and fish to provide for themselves and their communities. We won’t back down from activist ideological efforts to prohibit or limit these practices.

PBO sounds the alarm

The Parliamentary budget watchdog now says that its "impossible" to judge if the Liberal government can hit ANY fiscal target and that the lack of budget transparency has created "heightened" uncertainty for Canada's business community and the economy.

At a time when Canadians are lining up at food banks and facing a food security crisis, Mark Carney must give Canadians a fiscally responsible budget now.

Conservatives Introduce Three Strikes and You're Out Law

The Liberal decade of hug-a-thug catch-and-release laws have destroyed Canada's once safe rural areas, towns, and cities.

Today, Conservatives brought forward a motion to pass the Conservative Three Strikes and You're Out Law to keep criminals with three serious convictions behind bars, where they belong, for at least 10 years and up to a life sentence, block bail, probation, or house arrest for those offenders, and keep dangerous criminals off the streets and away from their victims and from law-abiding innocent Canadians.

Carney's Broken Budget Promises

After Carney refused to give Canadians a spring budget, he now says he won’t present a budget until NOVEMBER!

Don't forget his Liberal ministers promised you that they would present a budget next month, but apparently Carney wants to keep spending your money like it’s his own for as long as possible. During a cost of living crisis, Canadians cannot wait until November, Canada needs leadership now.

Conservatives Have Clear Priorities

Conservatives are ready to work this fall session and have clear priorities to put Canada first. Conservatives will:

- fight the Liberal cost of living crisis
- tackle the Liberal job loss crisis
- confront the Liberal crime crisis
- and work to fix the Liberal immigration crisis.

Conservatives will offer real solutions to fix the damage the Liberals have done
