Canadians Support Pipelines

A new poll shows that a MAJORITY of Canadians support a pipeline.

Canadians know that pipelines will strengthen Canada energy security, self-sufficiency, and sovereignty.

Mark Carney must repeal the No New Pipelines Never Build Anything Anywhere law C-69, the Shipping Ban C-48, the federal industrial carbon tax, the only one of its kind oil and gas cap, and the Liberal oil and gas censorship law to create the conditions necessary for the private sector to build pipelines in all directions for the benefit of all Canadians.

Mark Carney Must Get Out Of The Way

Interprovincial pipelines are exclusively federal jurisdiction.

All Mark Carney needs to do is get out of the way.

Canada’s Conservatives will always fight for Canadian energy security, sovereignty, and self-sufficiency.

What a bait and switch

An interprovincial pipeline for export IS federal jurisdiction so no province gets a veto. This is the whole point.

Mark Carney, how the heck is Canada supposed to become an energy superpower and build “at speeds not seen in generations” for an "emergency", when your Energy Minister is already signaling your government will be the same as the old one, and not exercise your federal authority for this kind of nation-building energy infrastructure that reduces reliance on the U.S.?!

What is Tim Hodgson talking about

“The province of Alberta … if they want to build, that’s something between the province of Alberta and the province of British Columbia," Hodgson said. (CTV News, Oct 9)

What is Tim Hodgson talking about?? You would think that the FEDERAL Energy Minister would know that interprovincial pipelines are exclusively federal jurisdiction.

This isn’t “between Alberta and BC” like Hodgson says, this is entirely the decision of Mark Carney. If the Liberals can’t grasp their own jurisdiction, how can investors ever trust that their project will get approved?

Carney Plagiarizes

Conservatives are calling on Carney to stop plagiarizing Justin Trudeau’s failed policies and recognize that deficits drive investment and jobs down and the cost of living up. Every dollar Carney spends comes out of the pockets of Canadian workers, families and seniors.

Canadians need a real plan to unleash our economic potential, create jobs, and deliver a better future for the next generation. Conservatives will continue to oppose Carney’s reckless spending and fight to restore Canada’s promise with lower taxes and stronger take-home pay.

The Liberal System is Broken

Governments shouldn't have to put together consortiums to beg another level of government to consider major necessary critical infrastructure.

This entire situation is an indictment on the Liberals who broke the regulatory system, drove away billions, killed dozens of major projects and hundreds of thousands of jobs; this is not the way to permanently restore investor confidence in Canada.

The World Wants Canadian Energy

Wow. Taiwan says they are desperate for Canadian oil to protect their national security, but Liberal anti-energy policies block exports and stall projects that would strengthen Canada’s democratic allies in Asia.

Liberal anti-energy laws like the Shipping Ban C-48 keep Canadian oil from Asian allies and forces them to turn to hostile regimes like Russia that brutalizes Ukraine and Qatar that houses Hamas.

Democracies around the world want Canadian energy, but Liberal anti-development laws and red tape tell them Canada’s closed for business. Only Conservatives will continue to fight to repeal Liberal anti-development laws and make Canada the fastest place in the world to get a permit for the benefit of all Canadians.

Interprovincial Pipelines are Federal Jurisdiction

Every Canadian observing the pipeline chatter going on right now should know this truth: pipelines that cross provincial borders, and pipelines for export, are indisputably FEDERAL jurisdiction in Canada.
This isn't a theoretical question, a philosophical debate, or an ideological perspective. It's not even a concept evolving judicially either. It's settled fact in Canada. Period.

One Premier is right, with a pipeline proposal that will benefit all of Canada. One Premier is politicking, with divisive, non-sensical rhetoric that denies his own people jobs and spin off opportunities, plus lots of money for their government.

It really makes you think because after all, he seems to be okay with turning a blind eye to open pit coal mining and coal exports in his own province (which the other doesn't criticize in support of resource development and jurisdictional respect) while he simultaneously blocks proven, safe, efficient transportation infrastructure of another source of fuel that has lower emissions intensity, is fully reclaimed when developed, with the vast majority extracted sub surface, and would benefit the whole country.

One might say that's not very neighbourly. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Secondly, since the proposal is squarely in federal jurisdiction, the federal government absolutely has the power to ensure such infrastructure can get done. Don't let them tell you otherwise. The Liberals already proved it when they killed two others (Northern Gateway and Energy East) through veto and interference, and let the TMX private sector proponent get forced out because building was blocked by other levels of government and activists, precisely because this same federal government did NOT exercise all its tools and authority.

Canadas Food Insecurity Crisis

After a decade of the Liberals, Canadians can hardly afford the basics.

Canada's food insecurity crisis is the direct result of Carney's reckless inflationary spending and the Liberal's high taxes on food packaging, fuel, livestock feed and the fertilizer farmers need to grow their crops and feed the world.

The Liberal Buyback Will Cost Millions

The Liberal buyback boondoggle is expected to cost taxpayers about $742 million at a minimum!

Gun crime isn't caused by law-abiding hunters, farmers, sport shooters, collectors, or people with family heirlooms precisely because they are trained, vetted, law-abiding, and licensed. Only Conservatives support common sense firearms policies that protect the rights of law-abiding firearms owners, and keep illegal guns out of the hands of dangerous criminals.
