Lloydminster Mayor In Ottawa

It’s always great to see Lloydminster Mayor Gerald Aalbers, and even better to introduce him to Pierre Poilievre in Ottawa!

Just outside of the Chamber in Parliament, we discussed the priorities and challenges that are important to the residents and business owners of Lloydminster. MP Rosemarie Falk and I are proud to represent and fight for the residents both the Saskatchewan and Alberta sides of Lloydminster - Canada’s only interprovincial border city. Thank you to our Saskatchewan colleague MP Fraser Tolmie, who was previously the Mayor of Moose Jaw and worked closely with Mayor Aalbers years ago, for helping make this get together happen!

Every Man Lost to Suicide is a Tragedy

In Canada, 75% of suicides are by men.

Every man lost to suicide is a son, father, uncle, brother, provider, spouse, partner, or friend. Losing a loved and valuable and important man or boy in your life is gutting, and it changes the lives of mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, and friends forever.

I'm proud to be part of Pierre Poilievre's compassionate, Conservative principled team that will bring home hope and opportunity for all Canadians, restore the promise of our great country where every single Canadian can be well, has the right to recover, and is valued, because every life matters.

Conservative Budget Demands

After months of delay the Liberals will finally give you a budget. But after a decade of Liberal debts, deficits and inflationary spending, grocery prices are out of control, housing prices have doubled, and Canadians can barely afford to feed, heat, house, and drive themselves.

That's why, Conservatives are calling on the Liberals to put Canadians first and deliver Canada an affordable budget that:

1. Scraps hidden Liberal taxes on food like the federal industrial carbon tax on fertilizer and farm equipment, the 17-cent/litre fuel standard carbon tax on gas and diesel, the billion-dollar food packaging tax
2. Cuts taxes on work, homebuilding, investment and energy, so life costs less and workers make more.
3. And stops the inflation tax that drives up the cost of everything you buy.

If the Liberals are serious about delivering for Canadians, they must deliver an affordable budget, keep their massive deficits down and cut wasteful spending.

Navy and Coast Guard Appreciation Day

Yesterday was Navy and Coast Guard Appreciation Day. I want to take a moment today to thank every single sailor who has served Canada, and those who continue to serve today. Grandparents served in and my younger brother is, in the Navy, so I want to honour the selfless commitment of all Canadians in the Armed Forces, along with the support and sacrifice of their loved ones. Today and every day, thank you to those who serve to protect Canadians, our values, and our way of life.

Carney Has Failed You

Mark Carney promised you during the election that he would, "negotiate a win," and handle Donald Trump by July 21st, but 6 months later, still no deal.

Even worse, now the Americans say it's unlikely a deal will even get done before the new year. Meanwhile, the Liberals have given billions in taxpayer subsidies to American companies like General Motors and Stellantis, even though they're taking their work and their jobs to the US.

Only Conservatives will hold the Carney Liberals to account for their failure to protect Canadian workers and their failure to get Canadians a deal when they said they would.

C-69 Makes Canada Uncompetitive

"Approval and permitting processes are too slow in this country"

WATCH: Canadian business leader warns that layers of Liberal regulation, uncompetitive taxes, and bills like C-69 have created a “dense landscape” that deters investment and delays major projects. He says it’s time to reform and streamline Canada’s regulatory system so that resource projects can finally move forward and create jobs.

Only Conservatives will axe Liberal red tape and repeal anti-development Liberal laws like the No New Pipelines Never Build Anything Anywhere Bill C-69, to make Canada the fastest place in the world to get a permit for the benefit of all Canadians.

Carneys Conflicts

In a big win for transparency and accountability to you, Parliament voted today to order the CEO of Brookfield and the PMs Chief of Staff to the Ethics committee to answer questions about Prime Minister Carney's conflicts of interest that he's hidden from you.

Carney will finally have to answer questions about his vast conflicts of interest and how Brookfield dodges billions in taxes in Canada by using offshore tax havens. I voted for this common sense amendment, why do you think the Liberals voted against?

Canadians Deserve Real Answers

Hypothetical??? Minister Hodgson, Canadians deserve real answers.

The private sector is right to question the possibility of pipeline construction in Canada because this Liberal government continues to promise big things, with no real action.

The reality is, there are still dozens of real projects with real proponents stuck waiting in the federal regulatory queue because this Liberal government has spent a decade delaying and killing major projects in Canada. There is nothing hypothetical about that.

The private sector needs certainty to build, and that will only happen when the Liberals repeal the No New Pipelines Never Build Anything Anywhere Bill C-69, the Shipping Ban C-48, the federal industrial carbon tax, the only one of its kind oil and gas cap, the “Just Transition” Bill C-50, and the Liberal oil and gas censorship law.

All About Liberal Grocery Taxes

Why are grocery prices so high in Canada? The answer: high Liberal grocery taxes, spending, and red tape.

Here's what you need to know about how Liberal taxes make your grocery bill more expensive

Food Bank Use Hit New Highs

BREAKING: Food bank use after the last lost Liberal decade is hitting new records, faster than ever before.

According to the Daily Bread Food Bank, “It took 38 years to get to one million visits, two years to get to two million, a year to get to three … now we’re another year and here we are at 4.1 million visits.”

The Liberals must repeal their high grocery taxes like the federal industrial carbon tax that hikes the cost of fertilizer production and farm equipment, the food packaging tax, and the fuel standard, so Canadians can afford to eat.
